OUR VISION & MISSION

Our vision is to have all university campuses in the Netherlands safe from sexual violence. Every student and staff member should have the chance to learn about consent, be heard, and become a change agent for sexual violence prevention.

Our mission is to ingrain consent culture into the daily lives of individuals and empower them to break the cycle of sexual violence in the university context through empathy and critical introspection. Sexual violence is a reality for many students and we see university campuses as a unique platform to educate and support youth and staff.

Our Three Recommended Action Points for Universities:

  1. Believe in and proactively support cultural and structural change. You cannot have one without the other. 

  2. Create spaces for students and staff to be comfortable with discomfort about important topics and social issues. Encourage proactive attitudes and encourage everyone to get involved.

  3. Utilize and embody intersectional lenses in all changes and movements within the university. Focus on how to make safe spaces for different kinds of people. Recognize the different lived experiences that will not only diversify your support, but also work towards a more inclusive and safe community.

    We commit ourselves to the inclusion of marginalized groups in our work, workshop content, organizational capacity, and audience.

  • Safe Spaces & Feminism

    Everyone should be treated with decency and kindness, regardless of their ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, culture, or religion.

    We promote equality, justice, and work to provide spaces for marginalized voices.

  • Integrity & Empathy

    We believe in honesty, reliability, and taking responsibility for one’s own actions and decisions.

    We center our work around compassion and encourage all to “walk a mile in someone else’s shoes.”
